Lais Dentistry

About Us

Dr. Lais

Dr. Lais graduated with honors from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. He was additionally honored by selection in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honors society that promotes and recognizes scholarship and character among students of dentistry. He served active duty for three years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps where he had the opportunity to serve rotations under board-certified specialists in the areas of oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

Dr. Lais moved from Joplin to Northwest Arkansas in order to achieve a higher level of personal and professional success. His current practice allows him more professional satisfaction as he focuses on long-term health and esthetics for his patients versus the disease-repair cycle so common in dental practices. His goal is to minimize the gap between what is known in dentistry and what is provided on a daily basis.

For more than 18 years, Dr. Lais has been working with the Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy Study Group, a group of like-minded professionals who are dedicated to providing comprehensive dentistry focusing on health and esthetics. This is similar to the Mayo Clinic’s approach where a group of different specialty practitioners network together to develop a single-patient treatment plan. Several times a month the study group meets to discuss patients and give shared opinions in order to make sure the best treatment plan is agreed upon before any irreversible treatment has been provided to the patient.

He and his wife, Jackie, have lived in Northwest Arkansas since 1996. In his spare time, Dr. Lais enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Jackie

Patient Coordinator

Jackie’s primary responsibility is serving as the patient’s main contact and giving them information about the office, the staff and dental treatment they will be receiving. Jackie has worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for 13 years and then worked with Linda Miles traveling to national dental conventions teaching team building to dental offices. With the knowledge of the dental procedures and techniques, Jackie is able to better serve the patient’s individual needs, keep the lines of communication open so the patients have a full understanding about their dental health, and provide them with a comfortable experience during their visits in the office.

Raised in Joplin, Jackie and Randy have been married for 23 years and moved to the Rogers area in 1996. Jackie enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and her two dogs, Madison and Macie.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “Even after 20 plus years of working with Dr. Lais, it’s inspiring to see his unwavering passion for dentistry and how he cares for his patients.”

Guanica

Practice Coordinator

Guanica and her husband Ed have been residents of NWA since 1999. With a bachelor’s degree in business and a background in accounting, she has enjoyed combining her skill sets with an involvement in the management of dentistry for over 20 years. She enjoys being part of a practice where customer service and education are at the core of the practice.

A native of Tennessee, Guanica has found NWA to be a great family place. She and Ed are proud parents of young adults: Edward III (Vanessa), Joshua, and Anica. Anticipating the arrival of their second grandchild, all available free time is spent with their first grandchild, Olivia.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “Dr. Lais’ philosophy of educating patients in order to equip them with the knowledge needed to make informed decision on their overall health is a key part of the awesome practice.”

Christie

Registered Dental Hygienist

Christie has been with the practice for ten years. Her primary responsibilities include gathering initial information for examination, such as radiographic and photographic images, periodontal exams and oral cancer screenings. She treats gum disease and provides professional cleanings.

Christie is a NWA native originally from Siloam Springs. She served in the Air Force for eight years where she was trained in emergency medical technology. She received her dental hygienist education and training at Missouri Southern State University, graduating at the top of her class. Christie lives in Fayetteville with her husband, Heath, and their combined three children, Jonathon, Sky, and Cady.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “What impresses me about Dr. Lais’ philosophy is the importance of allowing the time to fully communicate with each patient and guide them toward better oral health. In other offices I’ve worked, enough time was not allotted to accomplish this.”

KayLee

Registered Dental Assistant

KayLee’s primary responsibility is to prepare for and assist Dr. Lais with each dental procedure, while maintaining a comfortable experience for each patient. KayLee has been in dentistry for over four years and she received her RDA training at MSSU in Joplin in 2009. She has been with Dr. Lais for several years and we feel very fortunate to have her on our team.

KayLee is a native of Oklahoma and has been a Fayetteville resident for several years now.  She enjoys going to Razorback sporting events and supporting local charities. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and DIY projects.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “I feel very fortunate to work beside Dr. Lais. His passion and expertise is unmatched by any other dentist that I know. His philosophy of treating one patient at a time allows our patients to experience the best quality dentistry available.”

Danielle

Registered Dental Assistant

Danielle’s primary responsibility is to prepare for and assist Dr. Lais in each dental procedure. She has been with Dr. Lais for over five years and has been in dentistry for six. Danielle is from the Neosho area where she received her RDA training at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin in 2008 and recently moved to NWA.

Danielle and her husband Greg have been married for seven years. They enjoy baseball and date nights, spending time with their families, their dog Koda, son Brody and daughter Vera.

Danielle’s hobbies include scrapbooking, swimming, DIY projects, movies, nature walks, church events, and is a huge Cubs fan.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “I knew Dr. Lais was a one-of-a-kind dentist even before working with him. The ‘one patient at a time’ philosophy really intrigued me to want to be a part of his team. I have learned more from him in the past three years than I have in my six years of dentistry.”

David

Registered Dental Assistant

David has been assisting Dr. Lais for nine years. He has fourteen years of dental assisting experience. He had a great interest in the technical side of dentistry and has become very involved in the laboratory procedures that are necessary to support the delivery of outstanding dental art. David has pursued advanced lab technician training at the Texas Center for Occlusal Studies and endeavors to become the first lab technician in Northwest Arkansas fully trained in Condylar Centering Orthotics used to treat bit instability.

My experience working with Dr. Lais: “Dr. Lais has opened up my eyes to the idea that helping each individual patient achieve lasting dental health is more important than trying to see a large number of patients each day. I enjoy working for a dentist whose genuine passion is to strive to increase your quality of dental health to levels that some might think is unattainable.”

David, his wife, and son are natives of NWA. They enjoy spending time together camping, fishing, riding bikes, and attending automobile shows and racing events.
